Bruny Island Cruise

Bruny Island Cruises offers an award-winning adventure along the spectacular coastline of southern Tasmania.

Journey beside some of Australia’s tallest sea cliffs, glide beneath towering crags and feel the spray as you drift near the incredible Breathing Rock. Explore deep sea caves, slip through the narrow channel beside The Monument, and witness the raw power where the Tasman Sea collides with the mighty Southern Ocean.

Keep your eyes peeled for the abundance of wildlife that call these waters home — from playful seals and pods of dolphins to soaring seabirds and migrating whales. Our passionate interpretive guides bring the coastline to life, making every cruise fun, fascinating, and unforgettable.

We recommend booking a table Here for local fish and chips after your cruise. https://www.brunycruises.com.au/restaurant/

Cape Bruny Lighthouse Tour

Join our team of passionate local Bruny Island guides as they bring this historic landmark to life. Climb the cast-iron spiral staircase to the balcony and take in breathtaking views from the top of the Cape Bruny Lighthouse.

Owner Craig Parsey has a deep personal connection to the site, having lived here as a child in the 1970s with his lighthouse keeper family, before the station was automated. Craig also called Maatsuyker Island, Eddystone Point and Low Head light stations home — a rare insight into a vanishing way of life.

Discover tales of shipwrecks, the challenges of lighthouse keeping, and the rich history of Bruny Island — stories drawn directly from some of Tasmania’s last true lighthouse keepers.

Bruny Island Cheese

Enjoy complimentary tastings of our artisan cheeses and craft beers, watch the cheesemakers at work, and chat with the team behind the flavours.

If you’d like to linger a little longer, stay for a relaxed dine-in experience under the eucalypts. Share a generous cheese platter, savour our baked cheeses, or indulge in one of our much-loved toasties over a long, lazy lunch.

Our menu is simple and true to who we are — designed to showcase our own creations. You won’t find coffee or cakes here, but you can expect plenty of cheese, beer, and good company.

Get Shucked

Craving an oyster so fresh it feels like a kiss from the ocean? Come on down to Get Shucked — Bruny Island’s locally owned and operated oyster farm and bar.

Our oysters are harvested, shucked, and served daily, straight from the water to your plate. You won’t find a fresher oyster — or a more authentic Bruny Island experience.

Bruny Island Premium Wine

Welcome to Australia’s Southernmost Vineyard

Nestled in the quiet settlement of Lunawanna, Bruny Island Premium Wines holds the title of Australia’s southernmost vineyard. Family-owned and proudly Tasmanian, the vineyard was established in 1998 when Bernice Dillon and her father planted the first vines — creating Bruny Island’s very first vineyard. With deep roots in the island’s history, Bernice is a direct descendant of one of Bruny’s earliest settlers.

Since then, the vineyard has gone on to produce award-winning wines and cider, earning more than 50 medals in national and international competitions.

Visitors are invited to relax with hand-crafted wines and cider, all made on-site, and enjoy a seasonal menu at the vineyard’s restaurant. Open daily for lunch and on Saturday evenings for dinner, the restaurant celebrates the island’s finest local produce, crafted by a talented father-and-son team of classically trained chefs.

A visit to Bruny Island Premium Wines is more than just a tasting — it’s an essential part of the Bruny Island experience. Bookings are recommended for dining.
